Tucker Safety Products was founded in 1986 by Vincent Tucker, who started with a simple, bold idea: build a better oven mitt—American-made, and tough enough for a real kitchen. After years in the catering industry, Vincent saw firsthand that the heat pads, mitts, and aprons available at the time only protected against direct-heat burns, a small fraction of the injuries that actually occur in commercial kitchens. The real dangers came from boiling water, steam, and hot oil, and nothing on the market was built to stop them. Nearly four decades later, that same commitment to American-made foodservice gloves still drives everything we build.
That gap became Tucker’s mission. For nearly four decades, we’ve been designing, testing, and manufacturing protective apparel for the realities of commercial foodservice.
